Lead Developer, William, walks you through all the cool new features that DistributorCentral released on Wed, Oct 3, 2018.

ProductCentral

We’re excited to introduce ProductCentral, an idea generator for distributors, meant to help you discover products faster. Powered by the industry’s first intelligent search engine, you’ll be able to see what’s trending with recommendations made specifically for you based on your recent searches.  You can also quickly see all kinds of deals and discounts from suppliers.

Instant Search

Find products incredibly fast using our new Instant Search. While you’re typing in the search box, the first three products of that search will appear in real time.  You can see some quick information on each of them, including minimum quantities and pricing.  And, if you find what you’re looking for, you can go directly to that product’s detail page…skipping having to scroll through tons of products.

Bullet Points on Products

DistributorCentral now gives suppliers the ability to add up to 5 bullet points on each of their products. This move towards short descriptions and bullet points aligns our product data to ecommerce best practices…giving users product information in an easy to read, digestible format.  Additionally, suppliers can add keywords and other search attributes to their products, making it easier for users to filter and find what they are looking for.

Redesigned Quick View

Using our redesigned Quick View, distributors can now see the product’s main information without having to navigate away from the search results, including: production time, minimum quantity, pricing, and bullet points. From Quick View, distributors can also: save the product to a list, email the product to a coworker or customer, request more information, or add to their cart and start a PO.

New Catalog Generator

Our last new feature is the ability for distributors to create a new catalog for their website within minutes. It’s a quick 3-step process of: searching for your products, adding them to a list, and then converting that list to a catalog which add it to your DistributorCentral website.
