Hirsch Gift has received a tremendous response and offers of donations from so many of you. We are working with local community leaders and responding as fast as we can to your inquiries for this continually evolving natural disaster.
At this time, we’re updating our donation list to include priority essential items that are needed, as well as important shipping information:
- Cleaning Products
- Adult Diapers
- Feminine Hygiene Products
- Pocket Hand Sanitizers
- OTC Medications, such as Tylenol / NyQuil / DayQuil
- Baby Items, especially Diapers and Baby Wipes
- Pillows and Pillowcases
- Nonperishable Food Items – Preferred with Pull Top Lids
- Zip Loc Bags
- Factory Sealed Water Bottles
- Towels
- Blankets
- School Backpacks
- Pet Supplies, including Large Kennels, Pillows, Towels, and Food for Large and Small Breed Dogs / Cats
Please note due to the huge nationwide response to Harvey Relief, the majority of shelters in our area no longer require clothing donations. We will accept clothing that is already shipped and is scheduled to be ship by tomorrow, but we want to stress that the items we have listed remain the top priority for the shelters in the Greater Houston and Texas Gulf Coast region.
When shipping these items to Hirsch Gift. please clearly label the box “Harvey Relief and include 2 packing list of the items – 1 taped to the box and another inside the box. For the limited clothing items we anticipate to be shipped now, include whether the items are for men, women, and/or children and the sizes in the box.
We are asking that donations be received by Friday, September 8th.
