Cap America recently donated over 10,000 fleece caps to the Fredericktown United Methodist Church’s annual coat drive and the local Salvation Army. These caps will be given to people in need to help keep them stay warm during the bitter Missouri winters.

Maria Weekley, Cap America’s Community Outreach Specialist, stated that “Last year, the local Methodist church handed out over 400 coats to members of the community. The Salvation Army distributes coats and other articles of clothing to their offices between here [Fredericktown] and St. Louis. They give the clothes to a variety of people from homeless people they encounter to individuals that come in seeking assistance.”

“We’re always happy to help out our local community,” stated President and COO Mark Gammon. “We’re fortunate to be in a position where we can give back to the community that supports us.”

If you would like to contribute to either of these local organizations, you can contact the Fredericktown United Methodist Church at 573-783-2173 and the Salvation Army at 800-728-7825.
