DistributorCentral technical support has created a new video to show Supplier’s Customer Service Agents the DC system and to show them how to show their own distributors how to navigate their accounts for proofs and product searching or ordering.

DistributorCentral has added a guide for Suppliers to train their customer service departments to use and understand DistributorCentral.

This guide is available under the Education Tab > DistributorCentral tips > QuickStart.

You can click on links in the PDF to go directly to those resources that we suggest as training. This includes videos and other guides to use the system.

This is a very important aspect of Supplier usage on DistributorCentral and we hope that you find this useful to educate your Customer Service Department.

DistributorCentral has added a few new Industry Wide Catalogs for Suppliers to enter their products into and for Distributors to use on their websites.
These new Catalogs are :

Holiday 2008
3rd Quarter Specials – 2008
4th Quarter Specials – 2008
1st Quarter Specials – 2009

Holiday 2008 is a catalog that suppliers can enter any of their Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years Eve specialty products into. This catalog will be automatically removed February 2009.

The Specials Catalogs are for the corresponding quarter specials that suppliers are having or will be having. These will also be removed after each quarter and will be replaced with the next quarter catalog as we move through the quarters.

Distributors can add these to their websites by following the instructions below:

• Go to Websites tab
• Go to Add/edit websites
• Click on Edit beside your website that you would like to add the catalog to
• Select the “Product Catalogs” Section
• Go to the right side, above the list of catalogs currently selected
• Click on “Add/Remove Catalogs“

• Navigate through the catalog list on the left and highlight the catalog that you would to have
• Move that catalog over to the right hand box
• Hit Save at the bottom
• Publish all new changes by going to Website Publisher to make it active

DistributorCentral has uploaded a new PDF for Ordering. This is a step by step guide with images to help you or even your customers get through the ordering process for the first time. You can find this under the Education tab and to DistributorCentral Tips and then over to Quick Tips.

You can use this for your resources or you can even put this on your website as a supplier to provide assistance to those distributors that might order your products there.
