Hub Pen Recognizes Multi-Line Rep Scott Schaefer

Veteran promotional products sales representative Scott Schaefer joined Hub Pen as a multi-line sales rep in 2010 representing his native Upstate New York as well as Western Pennsylvania and later the entire state of Pennsylvania.  He started his career in 1998 with promotional products distributor Ribaudo & Associates, going on to become an award winning independent multi-line sales rep.  He was voted Multi-line Rep of the year by TRASA, the Three Rivers Advertising Specialty Association which serves Pittsburgh and the surrounding tri-state area Western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and West Virginia.

Since joining Hub Pen, the company has recognized Scott as Hub Pen Sales Rep of the Year two times. “It’s been a pleasure to represent Hub over the years,” says Schaefer.  “My customers love Hub’s quality and great customer service!”  ”

Hub Pen Hires Manufacturing and Quality Engineer Michael Sacco

Braintree, MA, September, 2017 – Hub Pen Company and Beacon Promotions have hired Michael Sacco as Manufacturing and Quality Engineer.  Sacco worked as Product Engineer for Tyco fire protection products for 7 plus years.  “When I was with Tyco I got to know not only the quality side of things, but design, customer service, finances,” says Sacco.  “Tyco was a large company, so it’s been a much more focused position with a smaller company like Hub Pen.  Everyone here has one goal: to get stuff done.  It’s nice to see even the CEO (Joe Fleming) on the production floor.”

Sacco is excited to be joining the company at a time of growth.  “Everyone is committed to growing the company and bringing in new and better equipment and technologies.  It’s my job to help with these implementations and so far it’s been a lot of fun.  The production team has been really supportive and on board.”

“Just within the first 2 weeks, Mike has shown a very good technical understanding of the projects he is working on,” says Hub Pen Operations Manager Conor Brooks.    “He brings a needed energy that will help drive improvement projects across both Quality and Production.”

A Rhode Island native, Sacco now calls South Boston home.  When he’s not at Hub, he’s most likely playing volley ball, both on the beach and on the court.  Michael also is an avid member of the “Southie” CrossFit community.

To Our Valued Distributors,

While Florida Power & Light still has not restored power to our Miami facility, our teams have made significant headway in re-opening operations. Generator power allowed staff in customer service and order processing to work through the weekend and we are pleased to announce that as of 8am Monday, 9/18/17, our full customer service and order processing teams will be on-site and working at full capacity.

We expect our production and shipping departments to be fully operational on Tuesday.

A few important notes about order lead-times:

  • For Bullet, we will be working through the backlog of orders since we have been closed and will be prioritizing all orders currently in-house. Any NEW orders received will be processed with 10-day lead times. SureShip® will be suspended through the end of September.
  • For Leed’s, as a result of a surge in order volume as a result of Hurricane Irma and the business closures it caused, Leed’s SureShip® service for transfer and silkscreen orders is temporarily suspended.
  • Trimark apparel (both in the US and Canada) as well as JournalBooks remain unaffected and all normal lead times apply.

This has been a very difficult time for our teams in Miami and we again want to thank each and every one of our customers for the patience and understanding as we have recovered in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. We are fully committed to going above and beyond to fulfill your orders!

14-SEP UPDATE:

We are pleased to announce that for orders received on Monday, 18-SEP, we will be reinstating 24 Hour Service for all product categories with the exception of writing instruments, lighters and ceramic drinkware.  These categories, which are produced or decorated out of our Florida facilities, will continue to have extended standard lead times by 3 additional days (24 hour service not available). We anticipate to be back to normal lead times, including 24 HR Service, for these categories by the middle of next week and will inform you as soon as that is certain.

Update from Bullet – Hurricane Irma

Our team in Miami has been working tirelessly to inspect and clear our facility for re-opening, however we are still without power and internet service. Florida Power & Light is unable to provide updates to individual customers on the timeframe for restoration of power.

As a result, we do not expect to be able to resume production or shipping services in Miami through the balance of this week. We are, however, working to get customer service teams operational in alternate locations in order to begin working through order communications and processing.

We apologize for the continued disruption in service and assure you that we are working diligently to be fully operational as soon as possible.

Hub Pen Recognizes Multi-Line Reps Tim and Pete Rosica
